In the late 90's the bottom has been epoxied and the topsides buffed and polished. The mizzen mast -step has been improved and rebedded as have all deck hatches. Teak winch pads have been replaced and refinished. All other exterior teak was restored refurbished to a like-new standard including the bowsprit teak grating. Other on-deck improvements include a new gauge plate for the tachometer and other engine readouts and an automatic electric bilge pump activity light. Also an improved anchor chain chafe-plate and two new hause fittings. The USCG required manual bilge pump deck fitting has been recently replaced.

AM/FM Stereo/Tape deck with Pioneer speakers in main and aft cabins
INTERIOR:
The interior was set up with many deluxe features, much of which was either refinished or upgraded in 1998. From the bilges to the lockers, everything is clean. The 12-volt comfort lighting has all been replaced.
In the main cabin there is the settee option to starboard and a large foldaway dining table. To port there is the standard Whitby L Shape dining settee that pulls out to a double when needed. Upholstery was new in 1990 but is ready for upgrade although it would be serviceable for a few years to come
Drip moldings inside the main and aft cabins beneath the self-draining ports give protection to the upholstery and lockers. The area where the ports are is finished with nicely grained teak.
In the galley are all the regular features of hot and cold pressure water, new faucet with a mechanical back up, refridge runs from engine driven compressor and has separate a freezer. Large dry storage areas are adjacent. A propane stove, with 3 burners and an oven with broiler, can be shut off from the galley at the tanks in the aft lazarette.
One of the outstanding-liveaboard and passage-making conveniences is the tremendous storage space. It includes 1 double hanging locker in the owner's stateroom and 2 more deep and full height ones forward. Close to the main companionway is another one for foul weather gear. I believe there to be about 90 drawers and storage areas in total.
In the forward cabin the V-berth has a fill in to provide a double size comfort zone. It has an overhead full view opening hatch as well as a dorade for ventilation. Forward of this area is the chain locker and power supply for the windlass. Under the berth is a large space that could host a variety of equipment, some owners having installed bowthrusters or watermakers. A large full height hanging locker, 2 drawers and 8 more lockers and its own direct entrance into the full forward head complete the area
In the nav station, the new GPS & new VHF have been installed leaving lots of mounting space for a new owner's state of the art electronics. In front of the Nav Station are the built-in bar and the starboard settee with large storage behind.
Behind the Nav-Station, in the walk-thru to the aft cabin, is the electrical supply control centre for both AC & DC. Voltage & Consumption meters and the polarity regulator are incorporated. Inboard across the walk-thru is the fuel control panel for both draw and return of the diesel fuel to either selected tank, of which there are two. Just inside the engine room, and behind the control switches, are the Dual Racor Filters set up to be easily and quickly switched as needed. Additionally there is an analog suction gauge at the helm station to indicate if the Racor Filter becomes stressed.
In the aft cabin, the berths can be utilized as a fore and aft sea bunk when needed for offshore passage-making. They are easily changed to an athwartship configuration. A large section of foam can be added to increase comfort for anyone who is height challenged. The athwartship option allows comfort for the very very height challenged. Both heads have hot and cold running water, of course, with showers that share the approximately 220 U.S. GALLONS OF ON-BOARD WATER SUPPLY contained in 2 separate tanks.
The owner recently initiated interior upgrades that include all bilge areas pressure washed and painted and new teak and holly sole throughout. Other teak was replaced or improved to new-wood standards including side panels at port light level, mast box and the galley area. All interior cupboards, bulkheads, lockers and storage areas have been painted to an "as new" standard. Ceilings, companionway entrances, refrigerator and freezer were painted where appropriate and there are new 12-volt incandescent lighting fixtures throughout. New toilets are installed in both heads with special head combo-faucets providing a fresh private area. New self-draining ports throughout highlight the interior improvements.
