CIRCA 1950 Douglas started thinking of his career of choice early in life. Today, while he still lusts for his time at sea, he is oft to enjoy vicariously through the experiences of his many buyers and sellers as they seek the pleasures and rewards of the open sea or in leisurely anchorages aboard a Whitby or Fort Myers-built, Brewer-Designed vessel.
Douglas Stephenson has been in the yachting field since his early 20s and is in the career of his choice. He was associated with Whitby Boat Works for many years and was directly involved in the marketing, spec'ing, and build co-ordinating of many Alberg 37 and Whitby 42s' until the Hansens closed Whitby Boat Works in May of 1988. He is the logical broker of choice if you are buying or selling one of these Carl Alberg or Ted Brewer-designed yachts. He has expanded his knowledge and database to include Fort Myers Yacht & Shipbuilding Inc. products based on the Whitby 42, also known as the Brewer 12.8 and the Brewer 44.
