Alberg 37
Alberg 37, Mark II
an Exceptional Sloop/Yawl
One of the very best yards in the world. Strong words . . . but when applied to Whitby Boat Works, the facts speak for themselves. A heritage of almost twenty years of excellent design. old world craftsmanship and honest value, provides our customers with the assurance ol the very best.
We now proudly present the all new Alberg "37" Mkll, an even better version ol the popular Alberg "37". She is still exceptionally rugged and strong She is still fast and easy to handle. But now, she is even more comfortable. We've increased the sleepillg accommodations to seven comfortable and roomy berths. The galley is even bigger than before and now includes a maple cutting board. a garbage bin, and an improved ice box. The head has been enlarged and so have the hanging lockers. Incidentally, there are now more than 40 lockers and drawers. We have provided an easy-to-clean moulded headliner and pan, and a spray shield at the companionway to protect your navigation equipment. The skylight and eight large ports (six of which are opening) assure brightness and excellent ventilation below. In the engine department. three cylinder diesel power and an extra large capacity fuel tank are standard. The deck and cockpit lay out has been redesigned. We've also moulded a teak trimmed splash board to keep you dry in the cockpit. And the seats have been modifed for even greater comfort and security.
We've talked about a few of the changes. But the basics haven't changed at all. She's a seakindly yacht rugged enough for the most demanding of offshore skippers.
There are other yards that build more boats. But no other yard gives more value.

The saloon is bright and roomy. Selected, imported teak panelling brings back the warrnth of traditional yachts. The full sized dining table stows against the bulkhead, creating a cornfortable lounge area The optional six berth layout pictured here features an extension berth on the starboard side and the standard double pull-out berth on the port side.

Unlike so many other sailboats, the AIberg "37" MkII 's galley is not only big but practicaL The working surface is immense. Because the top companionway step folds out of the way, all of the counter space is usable. Numerous lockers provide plenty of storage space for food, crockery, and other necessihes. The bottle locker, mounted on the after bulkhead, was specially designed to allow safe stowage under the roughest of conditzons. With the icebox being top loading, perishables may be safely stowed for long periods of time.
Foul weather gear is kept out of the way in its own locker under the companionway. To get at the engine, it's simply a matter of releasing the barrel bolts on the galley panelling Notice the hinged panel for easy access to electrical installations including instrument panel and the handy location of the 4 position master switch.

Even in the head, locker space is abundant aboard the Alberg "37" Mkll. Pictured here are the linen and toilet article lockers. A wash basin with pressure water is standard and the moulded sump is covered with a teak grating.
